Boudoir Photography FAQ

What sets you apart from all of the other photographers?

For me, whether it be a wedding, portraits, or an event…my camera and my passion for people allows me  to connect with you in an incredible way. I love meeting you, getting to know you,  and providing you with a personalized and fun experience uniquely catered to you.

What is your photographic style for boudoir?

Natural, Relaxed, and Authentic images are what I strive to create. I've found that by focusing on keeping my clients relaxed and comfortable, that I can more easily capture your natural beauty. Rather than have you be placed in uncomfortable poses, I believe in embracing the authentic styles and real personalities of the women that I work with. Part of making good pictures is putting people in good situations for the photos to naturally occur. I typically will make some recommendations as far as poses or session set-ups go, but have found that once we discover the right style and posing look that you're going for, that the photos just start to happen.

What can I expect from my boudoir session?

Prior to scheduling any boudoir session, I require a phone or in-person consultion to learn more about your needs and make recommendations regarding session set-ups, locations, and outfit choices. Since having a boudoir session is not something that you schedule everyday, I want to make sure that you're comfortable with me and my style and that I can provide you with exactly what you're looking for. After the consultation and scheduling your session, I'll provide you with all of the information you need prior to your session to make it a success!

Boudoir sessions are offered in our private studio or in your home. Upon arrival to the studio or to your home, we'll walk you through the set-ups that we've carefully selected for your session and will discuss the order that you'd like to wear your outfits. If you've selected to have professional make-up and hair styling, your session will begin with some pampering as you have your hair and make-up professionally done to keep you looking your very best throughout your session. Once hair and make-up are complete, I will introduce you to your set-ups and will start making images.

When will I get to see my photos?

Your photos will typically be available for viewing in a private password protected online gallery  and you'll receive a USB Flash Drive of the final retouched images within 2 weeks of your session date.

Will my photos stay private?

Your privacy is my first priority. That's why all images are provided to you in a USB Flash Drive and are not able to be downloaded online.

The images shown on my website or in my portfolio are those which I have received written permission to use from the client. None of your images will be used or displayed without your permission.

Do you retouch the photographs?

Yes, I do retouch skin and temporary imperfections like blemishes.

I think I need to lose a few pounds first.

Almost every women I've worked with, whether it be a wedding or a portrait session has had this thought! The truth is, you are already beautiful just as you are. You're perfect! I've had the pleasure of working with women of all shapes, sizes, and ages and know that all women are beautiful in their own way! Boudoir photography just embraces that beauty, celebrates your confidence, and highlights all of the things that you love about yourself.

As a woman myself, I understand that it's common to feel a little self-conscious about yourself from time to time. That's why I specialize in maximizing the things that you love about yourself and minimizing those things that you aren't so happy with.

If you truly feel like you would prefer to lose weight before your session, feel free to book your session in advance, and use your session date as an incentive to reach your goal.

How do I schedule a session?

To hold any session date, I require a consultation, a signed contract, and a $100 deposit.
