Elizabeth + Brett's Blue Ombre Wedding

"Ombre Weddings" are one of the newest and hottest trends in weddings. They're defined primarily by the use of gradients of colors, specifically where there's consecutive shades of a color moving from a darker gradient to a lighter one or from one color to another! Whether the Ombre style be incorporated into a cake or attire, it's almost like a rainbow of different shades of a color.

Everyone is talking about it these days. It's the "new thing". But for our bride Elizabeth, an Ombre wedding was part of her dream wedding plans that she and her best friend came up with when she was 12. :-)

This past September she finally got her dream "Blue Ombre" wedding when she exchanged vows with her high school sweetheart Brett. The Ombre gradients were not only showcased in the wedding party attire, but the wedding cake and the reception centerpieces!

After 3 years of dating, Elizabeth and Brett decided to tie the knot! The couple met through bible study at the Xenos Christian Fellowship. Since they met through the church and their faith is such an important part of their lives, they decided to wed within the special Xenos Christian Fellowship community that brought them together.

The Xenos Christian Fellowship Church was an ideal location for their special day! It easily accommodated their large wedding guest list and provided plenty of seating for the ceremony and plenty of room for dancing the night away! During the ceremony, the Ombre color scheme really came out as varying shades of blue fanned out both sides of the couple. Xenos Christian Fellowship has some incredibly picturesque grounds. After the ceremony, we were able to make some romantic outdoor portraits of the couple in golden light from the setting sun on the church's walking paths. The celebration continued at the reception as the couple serenaded the guests during the anniversary dance to see which married couple at the wedding had been married the longest. :-) Between the guests enjoying the tunes from JBK Mobile DJ Entertainment and dancing late into the night, the delicious Ombre colored wedding cake that their friends baked, and the live Photo Booth provided by Doug Melvin Photography their reception provided fun and festivities for all.

Congratulations again to Elizabeth and Brett on their wedding! We're so excited for your new lives together. Thank you for allowing us the honor of capturing your special day!
