Muschlitz Photography: The Dream and Our 2 Year Anniversary

Wow, time sure does fly when you're having fun!
It's hard to believe that just two years ago, I made one of the biggest and best decisions of my life - to commit to my dream of owning my own wedding and portrait photography business and formally setting up my business as a legal business entity.
For me, the formality of registering my business back in January 2012 brought a huge sense of pride and responsibility, and was not just a piece of paper. It means that I'm an entrepreneur, a business owner. By creating Muschlitz Photography, I've committed my life to building a business and serving others to the the best of my ability through powerful images, visually telling their stories, and providing top-notch customer service and an unforgettable experience. As a small business owner, I bring passion and energy to the table every day because I so deeply believe in what I do and the values and principles Muschlitz Photography was founded on.
The power of the photograph has always amazed me. They say that as you age, that time seems to move by faster. People get married. They start families. Families grow. Children get bigger. People move. People change. Loved ones pass. But despite all the changes over time, a photograph is magical. You can still hold that photograph and look back and catch a glimpse of a time that has been. You can see the styles people were wearing; that split between a child's front teeth; goofy grins; wrinkled faces; and warm embraces. It's an incredibly powerful experience. And that picture can tell a story. And everybody loves stories.
Connecting with people and telling their stories through photographs are at the core of everything we do. At Muschlitz Photography, it's not just about creating strong images. It's about connecting with people, learning about them, and visually telling their stories through our work. For us, whether it be a wedding, portraits, or an event...our camera and our passion for people allow us to connect with our clients in an incredible way. We love meeting you, getting to know you, and providing you with timeless images and a highly personalized and fun experience uniquely catered to you.
After 6 years of being in the field as a photojournalist for newspapers and magazines and shooting freelance weddings and portraits, making the decision to get serious about my passion and pursue my wedding and portrait photography business on my own, has been one of the best and most rewarding decisions. I've had incredible support from so many people, mentors, teachers, photography colleagues, fellow wedding professionals, business owners, family, friends, and clients along my photography journey. Whether they know it or not, their presence, their insights, and their support have all led me to where I am today. It's crazy to think that because of so much support from others that Muschlitz Photography is celebrating it's 2 year anniversary today!
A big thank you again to everyone who has helped with this dream! I am so blessed to be able to pursue my passion for people, visual storytelling, and powerful imagery. The connections that the camera allows me to make with others are like nothing else. It has been one heck of a journey and a lot of work, but I wouldn't change a thing! :-)
